NAT router before or after SXT bridge

Hello,

Need to setup internet in a remote location with rb sxt HG bridge.

On the access point side there will be only optical internet ending with media converter: how bad an idea will it be if I put a router after the SXT bridge?

Public internet with media converter —> RB SXT -----2 km wireless bridge ----> RB SXT —> hAP router

The idea is if the link goes down, the remote office will continue to work offline (printers, server and all other IP devices) because the DHCP server will be the router at their side.

What are pros and cons, apart from the security of the RBSXT bridge which is directly exposed to public internet and probably I will lose access to SXT devices?

tnx

this is the preferfed setup, as it will ensure local connectivity and will limit broadcast domain to local hap connections. There won’t be any polution of wireless bridge by anything, that doens’t need to be there.
Regarding access to SXT’s, you have the option of mac based connection, or setup a management vlan over wireless bridge.
