As you may know many small sites that need redundancy currently have two ISPs and are using nat44. If all of them now have to use PI or BGP the routing tables would get huge and cause issues not to mention the costs to the end user.
That first statement had no purpose other than to discourage those that say NAT66 is unnecessary from posting.
Mikrotik needs Nat66 so we can handle IPv6 Multihoming without getting provider independent addressing.
The normal Mikrotik customers uses Mikrotik because they can’t justify the higher cost of a Cisco router (Mikrotik can do the job why pay 10x more). That being said that same penny pincer needs Nat66 as a cost saving tool for his small sites.
We need Nat66!!!
When will we see it? (Please note that I think anytime in 2014 is probably soon enough)
