Can anyone suggest high power miniPCI cards ( need to install 3 of them into RB 433AH ) with 800mw to 1000mw of power. I need 3 of them to be installed inside mikrotik RB433AH.
I need cards that support 801.11 a/b/n ( seperate or all in one). ( MIMO optional )
Price suggestions are also welcome.
P.S
( Mikrotik miniPCI Cards have WEAK signals ) but work/average are ok, need to push signal thru trees
Even if you get to discover a 2000mw minipci card, you’re still not going to be able to get through significant foliage! abgn (2.4ghz and 5ghz) penetrates poorly through such obstructions. If you’re especially keen on cutting through trees, you should consider if it’s worth shelling out the cash for equipment and license to operate in 900mhz - that frequency does it better.
A number of users on the forum have experienced significant interference with more than two minipci cards (on the same frequency) on the same rb433 board. You might want to consider getting an additional device to split those cards e.g rb411 with an l4 license for AP functionality.
If you want to stick with deploying abn, find a way around those trees.
Mikrotik minipci cards are reliable, i regard the r52 (65mw) as being arguably the sturdiest. For higher power I would go with ubiquiti cards e.g XR2 (b/g), XR5(a) - they’re 600mw but don’t do (n). I’m yet to get good long term results with 800mw and 1000mw cards - others may have differing opinions.
Also recommend that you focus on high gain directional antennas, and not so much on a few extra mw of power.
Be sure to stay within permitted limits in your country.
THANKS YOU SO MUCH i really appreciate your help, who ever you are.
I have one more question. I planing to set up chain Mesh with OSPF. with 3 to 4 radios thats why the RB433AH looks tempting.
I want to use 2 radios 5.8Ghz for up and down one one for Client 2.4 ghs. So i need two in one .
The two up and down radios (5.8Ghz) can stay in max 25 Dbi. But for clients i would want to use something stronger like ubiquiti cards XR2 ( dont need 801.11n ) pure 801.11g is OK.
I know i can not put more then 2 Ubiquite card to the RB 433AH, so i plan to user 2 MT RB MiMO 5 Ghz for up and down radios and 1 ubiguite for AP (2.4 ghz clients )
Yea but Antennas are 2 METER LONG for mesh LOL, to get optimal 36 DBi EREA output.A foot is a max lengt of antenna on Mesh access point in my opinion. Know any ones with this specs that give me at least 10 Dbi for 2.4 and 5.8 ?
My goal is to have output at each antennas with the specs outline above 36 Dbi EREA. I know i am dreaming, but at least you know what is my goal. Optimal mesh hardware performance. If i can put it this way.
Is this optimal tun up? any suggestion to improve it?
Be more specific/precise which slot on RB 433AH connects to which card with what antenna. Optimal performance. Will i get at least 500 meters from mesh to mesh AP? in chain/liner line of sight? And if 900Ghz should be included how many clients it can support knowing my service plan is from 1/2Mbit and 1 and 2 Mbts. Now you know all of my fundamental setup.
