RouterOS Beginner Basics

I am using MikroTik RouterOS 5.20 and configured NAT and basic firewall,

I want to create users and they should not browse directly, after getting connected to the network, i have to give them user name and pwd then they can be able to browse internet.

i need to collect their mac id and i need to control band width and if they misuse internet i have to warn them and deactivate them.

i have to allow some ip direct internet and all other should come under username and password.

i am a beginner in Firewall and router configuration.

Please help someone.

If you’re starting then you had better go slowly, set yourself short-term attainable targets and build over that…

I think a suitable system for what you want to achieve would be using hotspot, see http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Hotspot

WinBox has a built-in hotspot setup wizard, you can use it to start with a working setup, then evolve from there.
