hi,
i want one router board with high rate cpu, like 1333mhz, and with at least one memory slot,
before, we have rb1000, but i hear it’s disscontinued !? is it true ? so, what should we do ?

You can go to http://www.routerboard.com/ and see the models you want.
I recommend you to buy RB1100( 800 MHz CPU) or RB1200(1000 MHz CPU).

thx dear friend, but i need high rate cpu (on rb 1100, we see it have 800mhz cpu), and i need at least one memory slot, (so on rb1200, we have no memory slot, but cpu is 1000mhz)

i need a board like rb1000…

Hm, in Romania there is RB1100AH available.

Doesn’t this mean that 1100AH (like 1100 but with 1GHz CPU) is available worldwide?

You can use RB800 and overclock it to 1066 MHz. It has a Compact Flash Slot onboard, and has 3 Gigabit interfaces as well as 4 Mini-PCI Slots. This is what we use right now when we need a higher performance Router, as the 1100/AH/x2 are pretty much NEVER EVER in stock, and the RB1200 is pretty unreliable from what I read in the forums. Also you can still use ROS 4.17 on the RB800, the RB1200 forces you to use ROS 5.x

Using /system routerboard settings menu. set the memory clock to 533 MHz, then set the cpu-clock to 1066 MHz. However, you should intensively test your RB 800 for stability after overclocking.

A Dell R210 server can be bought for about $1000 USD and delivers 4x more processing power than the RB1100 in my experience.

If you chat to your local dell Rep you can have them throw in a remote access card for the same price too :wink:
