We are a ISP with 500Mbps of bandwidth with 4000 user and at peak hours 2000-2500 concurrent active users will be there. Currently we are running network with 5 x86 boxes and 4 of those MT boxes are using the RADIUS server. Firewall and queuing were done on MT boxes only and Now we are planning to merge all the users into one Box and most probably to one of those Router Boards sold by Mikrotik for better performance. I am going to upgrade my bandwidth to 600Mbps next month and by March of 2015 I may reach upto 1Gbps. So I need advice on which model of RB to purchase with future upgradation in mind. you guys can suggest me with a better idea and is very much appreciated. Hope a quick response. I have attached network diagram.
