Hi Guys,

New here :slight_smile:

I am setting up a small network and would like to get mikrotik as our core routers. Basically i need to run eBGP and will be accepting 3 full routes from different ISP. The bandwidth that I am expecting is about 500 Mbps.

I am looking at CCR1036-8G-2S+EM. Will this be able to cater for 3 full internet routes?

BGP daemon is still running on 1 cpu core?

Iā€™m not sure if just for 3 peers and 500Mbps you need 36 cores, if no additional configuration is planned i would go for 16 core or maybe even 9 core.
But if you have big plans then 36 core will be very safe bet.

Note that Initial routing table population will take some time with RouterOS v6, after that it is smooth sailing. (this will be optimized for RouterOS v7)
