Do the MultiPoints use the same SSID or is there a config like the WDS we use now and does NV2 pass MACs across the bridge?
Just need to know where to look at a sample NV2 config.
Thank you,
Rod

OK - No reply - here is what I have found out.
In v4.16 - the 5.8 p-to-p backhauls work great - the best I’ve seen! Seem to completely ignore noise pollution although I haven’t got them to work in p-to-mp configs. Need a sample config here - haven’t seen one yet.
The problem is that the AP’s on the same boards go to hell in a hand basket!!!
I had to go from B/G support to straight B otherwise the latency is all over the chart.
All of our edge towers and a lot of secondaries are RB boards and XR5 BH and XR2 AP.
Obviously the two types of protocols don’t play nice in the mixed environ.
I haven’t checked out the newest v.RC yet but I would like some advice.
Thank you,
Rod

MptP is nothing more then an AP with two (or more) clients. Off course they use the same SSID. If not we talk different wireless networks.
We have two APs runnin on Nstreme with 36 and 12 clients since 2 yaers throughput is about 12-15 MBit/s down and 3 MBit/s up
fimrware is 4.14 / wlancards Atheros 5413 / clients from -65 to -85db / NV2 settings default
When enabling NV2 all traffic is viscous and throughput is dropping 20-30%
So max traffic is only about 10 - 12 MBit/s down and 3 MBit/s up
On PTP configurations we have no problems to achieve 100 MBit/s one way
Can anyone acknowlegde this behavior?
Regards
Sonny
