Hi All,
I have 6.24 on a few hundred RB2011 depolyed. I had a startup script which set DHCP client on a non default interface name. This use to work well.
Since upgrading to 6.42.1 my startup script does not work well anymore, it appears I need to inject a delay (per the forums) to get this to work. I tried injecting a 20 s delay in my start up script on a test box and it worked well.
Here is my problem:
The boards in the field frequently get reset to defaults via the button. If I upgrade my units to the newest version (desired), then I also need to re-perform netinstall on each unit. However that is time consuming.
I see potentially 2 paths forward
Path 1) Remotely change the startup script to a new one with a delay.According to the forums, this does not seem possible. If anyone has discovered a way - please let me know.
Path 2) Is there a ROS fix planned which can potentially inject a delay before running the startup scripts? Something has changed between 6.24 and 6.42.1 which makes interface names unavailable for some time.
Anyone have any good ideas to solve this new problem?
Thank you!
