I want that the router/dslmodem gives all the ip-s to devices connected to RB952Ui-5ac2nD.
Right now the setup is working but something is clearly wrong, for example the first SXTsq that gets the internet from the modem, the static ip is 192.168.1.7, but the router gave to the ethernet port this ip: 192.168.1.247
And the second SXTsq doesnt show up on the Main router/dsl modem
I am noob on this and doing it first time
What would be the ip settings for following configuration?
So technically you don’t need an IP address on the SXT but It would be good to have one for management, I think the main thing here is to go to the bridge settings from the main menu of winbox/webfig and click the blue plus button while you are in the bridge tab and create a bridge, after that you will need to go to ports tab and hit the blue plus again. from here you will need to select the wlan interface and put it in the bridge you just created, after that you will need to put ether1 into the same bridge as well. The only other thing you need to watch out for is to go to wireless>wlan1>wireless tab and make sure that bridge is set to enabled and that you are definitely using station bridge and bridge mode then do the same steps on the other sxt.
Doing this it will set up a transparent bridge from the ethernet port on one side of the sxt link to the other so the DHCP will go to the hAP on the other side, using this configuration you would not need a IP address on the SXT but it might be nice to put a DHCP client or static IP on the bridge of each SXT so that you have a “management address”
NV2 works well now as they have fixed the bug, would recommend using 6.44.3 if you want to use it, the bug was also only present on ARM biased devices like the sxt sq ac and the disc ac not to sure if stuff like the 4011 and the hap ac 2 have the same issues? either way just update your router OS AND firmware and you should be ok
