need help issue with ISP 1:1 Internet Connection

Hello,

I am buying a 1:1 T1 connection from my ISP in Nicaragua Central America. This connection goes via Fiber Optic from here to Nap of the Americas in Miami Florida.

Here is the issue, during night hours starting around 8pm the Internet connection seems to give me the full bandwidth; I test this by downloading a big file “MSN Messenger Live”. When I do this at night I can see the bandwidth on my MT router and it shows continues 1520kbps download. I also did the same test in the morning around 9am and was still doing the same full usage of my bandwidth.

During hours from 10am to approx 7pm, I do the same test, the results on the tests I do during office hours my bandwidth drops to 800kbps to 1meg, sometimes I get up to 1.2 but than it goes right back down to 800kbps to 1meg.

Now, if this supposes to be a 1:1 Internet connection, meaning I don’t share bandwidth with anyone, why do you think my bandwidth drops during office hours?

From your experience if I have a Full T1 connection shouldn’t I get the full 1500kbps?

I have a meeting with this company and want to have some backup with me.

Thanks

I don’t think this is the proper forum for your problem, as it’s not related with Mikrotik at all.
But I think you can show the data to the ISP, and ask them to solve it.
But be careful, if you can not download full T1 from 1 source, it doesn’t mean the problem must be your ISP. The problem can be any where… in the middle way, or in the destination server.

try to download from another sources, and try to check ur mrtg…
