Need Help to install licence

Hi, I just installed 2.9.5 on a ThinkPad.
No interface is enabled as yet.

I tried to type in the licence key but no success,
can anyone help?
What is the method to type in the key at the console?
Do you have to type in all four lines at the same time or one line then [enter] at a time?

Any How To example?

why would you install RouterOS on a laptop? your router should be in one place, not moved around …

also - you DO NOT TYPE the license. it is too long! just enable the interface, add an IP address, and connect to the router with Telnet. then copy and paste the key into telnet screen.

and if you had an OS on your laptop, it’s probably gone now. along with all files.

Thanks Normis, however this laptop was not in use and i would like to use it as a mobile demo and a getting to know you (training) system.
The NIC is a IBM EtherJet CardBus, any drivers???
So until i get a supported PC Card or a CM9 it will be console only.

I simply want to use this setup to get fimilar with the submenu, etc.
I have no choice now, unless someone would like to bless me with a card.

So Normis is there a way to get the key typed in?

you surely have a COM port for serial console, conect to this laptop with Hyperterminal then
