The only thing I can think about for ruling out is MLPPP then.
BTW have you upgraded? I don’t have exactly good memories from 6.29.1, check the changelogs…
6.32:
*) upnp - fixed protocol port selection for upnp protocol comunications;
6.32.2:
*) upnp - randomize action urls to fix "filet-o-firewall" vulnerability;
I just tried disabling one modem interface and completely removing that modem from the ppoe interface. Upnp is still not working. I guess I will create a support ticket

Did you upgrade to Bugfix-only 6.32.2??
I will try an upgrade

Sorry I posted that before I saw your post.

So I upgraded the software and there is no change. I sent in an email to their support team. Hopefully they will be able to help me out. I noticed one of the things they want you to try ahead of time is to erase and start over. I’m hoping I don’t have to do that, adding all my IP reservations and rules is pain staking.

They’re asking you to start from a sane environment, something completely logical.
In fact, I won’t be surprised at all if after the reset to no defaults and configuration reload, I specified on post #7 the problem dissapears.
The procedure will restore all settings, no need to manually add anything.
You could also restore the settings by just pasting your export on a New terminal, they’re CLI commands that will restore your configuration; just make sure you do the export again under this new ROS version.
Where can I find the procedure you posted? What is it resetting if I don’t have to add everything again?

in post #7 of this thread:
Resetting will make sure all settings internally stored on NVRAM are wiped clean and restored, sometimes NVRAM corruption (due to power outages, or bugs in previous versions) causes router “misbehaviour”.
Sorry I posted that before I read your edit. I must have missed that in post #7 I don’t remember seeing it.

I’m watching a movie right now on Netflix. I will try it once it’s done.

Never mind, I guess I’m too used to edit and re-edit my posts, and that made you miss it…
Usually people take about a day to read them and answer so my tinkering doesn’t cause this
No problem. I have the forum on my phone so I get the updates instantly. I’ll try the reset in an hour. Thanks for your help.

I did that and completely lost the router. I can connect to it with win box and I no longer have an Internet connection.

Wow that scared me. I got it working again. It didn’t auto load the config. Once I got back into it I imported the config file again and got everything running again. The only issue is I still have no upnp.
That’s odd… XBox One is one thing, but no uPNP at all is strange…
add action=drop chain=input comment="default configuration" in-interface="Modem 1"
add action=drop chain=forward comment="default configuration" connection-nat-state=!dstnat connection-state=new in-interface="Modem 1"
You should change “Modem 1” with the actual pppoe interface, i.e. “Tek Savvy”, you’re not blocking Internet right now…
Not sure if that will make a change with uPNP, but being an “automatic” protocol, maybe it doesn’t detect any inbound restriction and that hoses the protocol.
You should change that for safety anyhow.
I will do that. Mikrotik support seems stumped as well. Just for confirmation I should see the router with Windows network discovery as a device right?

Where should upnp be adding rules if it would be working. It should add NAT rules correct? Because I have nothing even after running skype.

I don’t know, don’t use windows personally and never checked that (if windows 7/8/10 “sees” it as a network device, I’d swear no), but guess if you enable smb it should…
The rules UPNP adds appear on Firewall > NAT as dst-nat rules with a D (Dynamic) in front:
