hi I need help on using tera term to routerboard 133. I know I can use winbox to change configuration, but just in case if I’m were to stucked with no windows machine. I’d like to know how do you configure tera term or any other ‘hyper terminal’ like program to enable multi line input.
By default, if I set teram term emulation to be @ VT102, when login in , after the MIRKOTIK logo, it will say “Terminal VT102 detected, using single line input mode”. When it is in the single line input mode, I can do any setting changes. When trying to change setting (e.g IP HOTSPOT USER PROFILE EDIT 1 TRANSPARENT PROXY) I’ll get this error
“Terminal is in single line edit mode, cannot run fullscreen editor”
but whenever I login via the terminal created in Winbox (click New Terminal), after login in it will say
“Terminal is in single line edit mode, cannot run fullscreen editor” and of course I’m allowed to make changes.
So any ideas on how to configure tera term or any other emulation program to multi line edit mode ? thanks in advance.
latest version of Putty supports connection over serial, and of course telnet and ssh. use that instead.
