need help with configuration for single SSID

hi guys,

i have a huge building which needs to be made complete WiFi enabled.

now the requirements are as follows:

  1. Multiple WiFi AP (Mikrotik) placed all over the building. Inside & Outside
  2. Single SSID throughout the building.
  3. Single Encryption Key for regular users + Hotspot for Guest users.
  4. Easy user movement without disconnection from SSID throught the building.

Please suggest how can I achieve the above mentioned entirely using Mikrotik + RouterOS

Are you going to have cable run to each AP?

yes… i will run a cable to each AP.

if you have any other option i will be glad to know that too…

Wired backhaul will give you the best performance for the lowest material cost, if it’s feasible to run. It also lets you use simple single-radio client APs (e.g,. Groove A-2Hn) rather than a multi-radio RB, and power all APs from a central location (e.g., using one or more RB750UPs plugged into a UPS).

Other options are to connect the RBs wirelessly: either using WDS so that the client radios can double as backhaul (reduces performance), or using separate radios (increases cost due to additional antennas & radios, and more expensive multi-radio RBs).

Spread the aps on different non overlapping channels if using wired, same ssid and it will roam a little better.
