NEED HELP WITH LVL4 KEY

Hello,

I have 1 bridge with 2 rb133 . I did not have problems until now . One RB133 become unusable after ver 3.10 upgrade . I’ve climbed the tower, get the board, put console cable . No boot sequence .
I installed mikrotik 2.9.51 with NetInstall . The key was ok, lvl 4 licence .
I maked a upgrade to 3.10, put the board on tha bag, climb the tower .
After connecting the cable i see on system - licence : lvl 0
What i must do ?
Please help me ! I tryed to put the key again, reboot, but the lvl was the same : 0 .
I can’t use wireless bridge and my clients call me .
Can you help ?

My software id is : MS70-PTT

Hi,
You can have the License key. Pl follow the steps.

Login in to your Mikrotik Account - Ecom Server.

Click on Request Key in “For already created software Key”
Insert the Software ID and click on “Request key”

The License key will be than added in Virtual Folder in your account.

Copy the Key and Paste it again in your Router.

If i request a key for my software id i receive the same key stored by me on a hard disk .
Can be the problem the fact that if i run i receive :

routerboard: yes
model: “”
serial-number: “”
current-firmware: “”
upgrade-firmware: “2.12”

I mention that the board is RB133 .

If i put 2.9.51, everything is ok, except the thing that signal for clients are not very good .
I want to run 3.10 firmaware . I have another RB133 and everything is ok on this board .

Here we go again …

I run mikrotik 3.10 on my rb133 .
I have 1 day until my licence expires, but … the licence don’t expire . If i login again i have 23 min 56-59 minutes until expire, again and again .
How can i get away from this situation ?

I will soon change the board with a computer, but i want to clear the things .

  1. Upgrade your Bootloader. Type “/system routerboard upgrade”
  2. Get the key from Mikrotik.com “request key” and paste into the router. If after reboot it still complains, check the “/log print” to see if there were errors applying the key

I put all message type logging on, with output to memory, 1000 output lines .
I perform routerboard upgrade, update the key . But nothing . No error or output related to this upgrade or licence .
Uffff … should i climb the tower with a hammer ? :laughing:

maybe with a Serial cable instead :slight_smile: Reinstall ? Maybe the NAND has some issues and needs to be formated

ok . i will take the laptop, serial cable and the hammer :laughing:

Instead, climb the tower with a “spare” routerboard configured the way you want it. :slight_smile:

Much easier and lighter than bringing a laptop, serial cable, and a hammer.
