Need help with PPPOE

OS 2.8.

Set up is:

PPPOE client___MT (running as station)—MT (running as ap bridge, PPPOE server)

______ = Ethernet
--------- = wireless

IP addresses: MT (station) - 10.10.10.1, MT (ap bridge,pppoe server) - 10.10.10.250.

I am not able to link up the two MTs wirelessly unless I set one as a station. Can’t we bridge them all out? I did bridge all interfaces on both MTs onto a bridge1 interface on each. Anyway, the issue is the pppoe client is not able to connect to MT (ap bridge). I keep getting the error as remote system not responding.
Help! I’m trying all I can think of.

Use “station-wds” instead of “station” and add an wds interface on the AP pointing to the station unit. Bridge ether and wlan interface on station. Bridge ether and wds interface on AP.

Appreciate your input. I forgot to mention, my ap-bridge needs to be ap-bridge. I cannot change it’s config.

Dont use station mode, use station-wds mode. Leave AP as is only add a WDS interface pointing to station. That’s the way to do bridging with MT :slight_smile:
