Need help with SNMP

I’m running into some oddities with SNMP.

First, our network is a mix of 532A, 433, and 433AH boards. As near as I can tell, we’re 100% Atheros radios (mix of RB and UBNT).

RouterOS versions 2.9.x, 3.x, and 4.x

SNMP verified to be enabled. Default public community.

Some units refuse any/all connections. We’ve tried upgrading (minor and major versions), but have had no luck. SNMP is still dead on these units.

The Dude can display SSID and signal strength for some, but not all of the working units. I’ve not yet found a correlation for this.

Much thanks for any help anyone can give!

Try snmpwalk from The Dude to the router, where SNMP does not work.
Does it work?

Still getting nothing. But, I’m thinking there’s something really weird going on with this network. When I run nmap, these units show that snmp is open, but filtered. The odd thing here, is that nmap shows /all/ the MT units to have snmp open/filtered, yet The Dude can read snmp from most of them.

I’ve checked every device between here and there, and nothing appears to be blocking snmp traffic. I’m still looking.

it could be useful if you could list what version of RouterOS is accessible and what version is not. That way we could have more clarity of where the problem is exactly.
