Here is my setup:
Telus 3Gbps Fiber-> Nokia ONT → CCR2004-16G-2S+ → QNAP M408-4C(switch connected via SFP+) No Vlan or QoS is used in any device.
Under the switch, I have all my wired devices, and 3 x TP-Link DECO XE75 pro in AP mode for wifi access.
I have a M1 pro MacBook pro connected to the network via wifi. Every few seconds to a minute, the MacBook would lose connection to the router, lasting few seconds to a minute. When this happens I cannot ping the router(request timeout) from the MacBook, but I can still ping other devices in the network from the MacBook, and other devices from the network can still ping the router.
I have already tried restarting everything and disabling all drop rules in the firewall, the problem persists. Any idea what’s causing this problem?
Update:
I have figured out the problem. I recently did an firmware update to the Deco APs. Looks like the 3 APs formed an internal loop of some kind, when I turn on the loop detection feature of the switch, it immediately shut down the 3 Decos. Resetting the Decos fixed the problem.
