I have just purchased a Routerboard 1000U and have set it up successfully.
I noticed that when I did a Backup using the RouterOS facility in Winbox, the file created had the date Jan/01/70. I configured the date and did another Backup. The new file got the correct date.
But after rebooting the RB, another Backup got Jan/01/70. I have checked the manual, Internet, etc for what to do; no clue. Please assist me if you have any solution to this problem. I had thought a battery change may be needed in the RB box. Thanks
I don’t have a RB1000, but most other RB products do not have a battery-backed onboard RTC clock. They require NTP to maintain (reset actually) the time after a reboot.
You are concise and accurate. I have just read that from the forum searches. I’ll rig up an NTP for my RB.
Thanks
