Hello!
I want to use a Routerboard 750 (and later maybe something bigger) for my “Homenetwork”. At moment I use ddWRT and i’m not happy with it, so i decided to use routeros.
But my problem is routing and the correct use of the firewall rules. The informations that I can find on the internet are to much for me at the moment. I don’t know where to start.
I already setup the Interfaces VLANs and DHCP server, thats not really a problem for me.
If you want to help me here, i will give further informations. Here you find a basic Information of what I want to make:
Ports and Lan segments:
One WAN Port (PPPoE client)
One Port with productive network “LAN”
One Port for Server “LAN2” (tagged VLAN)
One Port with some more tagged VLANs (Guest, Guest2, Automation)
[One Port as spare for Vioce (runs now on LAN without qos, no problems)]
All nets have diffrent adresses
Firewall and Routing
All networks are allowed for internet on WAN
Guest should have access to a sambashare and a printer on LAN2
LAN should have full access to LAN2, Automation.
Automation full access to LAN2
Clients in LAN should be able to open a RDP sessions to client in Guest
The switches that I use are DLINK (smart managed) and the VLANs are working fine.
I hope somebody can help. I also want to learn from that, so maybe its a good idea that i can get here a safe config for the firewall (all nets have internet access and can communicate with each other). Then how to isolate the guest nets, and configure the access to the samba share. Then i’m (maybe) able to do more and more by my own.
