NEED URGENT HELP

HI
i have installed router OS on a pc. It has got a on board lan card and a external Dlink.
When i boot it detects the dlink but not tyhe onboard.
Also when i give dlink internal ip e.e 192.168.1.99/24 and gateways 192.168.1.1 which is my adsl router.

i cannot ping it nor can i connect it using winbox.

what should i use cross cable or straight cable to connect to ADSL switch.?

can i confrigure the mikrotik only with one lan card as i want to use it for internet and bandwidth control

How do you know it is the DLINK card not th internal one which is working? what ever, use:

/int eth print
/int eth mo 0

and make sure the Link is Ok, usualy the cable must be straight and some times it does not matter.
and yes you can use Mikrotik with only one interface do NAT and bandwidth managment but it goning to be little bit complecated.
