Hey Guys, I have a 450G and I use a crapply Dlink for my wireless access point. I need something better and was wondering if I could just use a RB951-2n as an access point instead? Can I disable the DHCP, etc and just run the wireless part like I do with the old Dlink? Thanks
Yes, you can enable or disable anything on the mikrotik.
If you only enable wireless, and put it in a bridge with the ethernet, then it will be ONLY a wireless access point.
Perfect, that is exactly what I was planning on doing, thanks.
i am currently configuring a rb450g with a rocket m and cant get the 450g to perform dhcp pass through, any suggestions? theres no security on rocket m wireless and my wireless client cant connect. i have the rocket m in ap mode and bridge mode under network, on the 450g i have configured ether 2-5 as slaves with 2 being the master, ether 1 is dhcp client for isp with nat masquerade
