Netbox 5 constantly reboots when switching wireless modes

I’m working with a MikroTik Netbox 5 and trying to set it up as a simple station to provide network access to a device connected by ethernet. However I am consistently having an issues switching wlan1 interface to “station” mode from the default “ap bridge” mode. Anytime I set the interface to “station” mode the device begins rebooting approximately every 10-20 seconds. The only resolution to this is to perform a factory reset, as there is no way to access the device and resolve an issue before the device simply reboots again. I am concerned that my device is defective. It is a new device and I have not yet been able to get it working in the desired configuration.

I’ve attached the supout.rif (as a txt since this doesn’t support .rif extension) but it may not contain anything useful if it is wiped each time the device factory resets. There’s no way for me to get access to the file in question while the device is rebooting.

I have updated the RouterOS software on the device to the latest (6.42.6) via the winbox instructions here: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Upgrading_RouterOS

The results after upgrade are precisely the same as results prior to upgrade. changing the mode to station causes the device to go into a state of rebooting indefinitely.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
