I am looking at implementing NetFlow billing for some of our RB1000 running v4.5 acting as PPPoE server. Right now we are using RADIUS accounting however some users have the need for free data to certain places.
Since I am concerned about double/triple billing for the same data I have been very selective for the interfaces that I am polling for NetFlow. However I do not appear to be seeing any traffic that goes out of the interface, just incoming traffic.
In Cisco this is very easy all I do is put “ip flow egress” however in RouterOS I cannot find any similar option. I have checked the manual here http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Traffic_Flow which doesnt make any specific mention about the direction of the traffic.
I checked the forums for similar threads but only found people saying that NetFlow had some alignment issues, I also checked the changelog but nothing was there regarding NetFlow.
Does anybody know if RouterOS can do NetFlow for egress traffic?
