I have been using Netflow V9 for IPv4 traffic statistics reporting with PMacct and BWstat with great success. After turning on IPv6 when using the 5.0rc7 on a test system I receive the IPv6 information for a host, but it only sends the packet count and not the byte count as it does for the IPv4.
I have set up Scrutinizer Flow analyzer and it shows the same thing as the PMacct capture.
Am I missing a setting on the Mikrotik or is there a bug in the code for the IPv6 version of Netflow V9?
I tested both nfdump and pmacct/nfacct, and they both receive Netflow v9 traffic from my Mikrotik where everything is correct, except the byte-field, which is 0 when it’s IPv6. However, the byte-field for IPv4 is correct.
Yeah I recently started using mikrotik for flow collection to the Netflow Analyzer program. The actual bandwidth collection is totally off. The source/destination data is all accurate however it is just the counting of the amount of data that seems to be off.
I’ve actually not got accurate results from the x86 or RB450G versions I have out there. I’ve also tried using V9 and V5
