i have been trying to get my hap ac2 to work with a lot of problems im now trying to do a netinstall and it never shows my device in the window. using a windows laptop tried lan port and wan port nothing held rest for 20 seconds nothing

Disable all network ports on that laptop, including wifi.
Only keep ethernet active.

Using a dumb switch in between might help.

I did disable all ports and Wi-Fi, I will try a dumb switch. What does the dumb switch do?

dumb switch avoid your laptop ethernet interface relink every time you try reboot/netinstall on your mikrotik, in some cases is the only way to get netinstall to work

For me the only way to get it to work lately, is using a Linux box.
Might be another option.
