netinstall not compatible with Windows 11?

Hi,

I had to do a netinstall (6.49.1) via a Latop with Windows 11 (21H2).
When opening the netinstall-program, nothing appears under “Routers/Drives”. Normally you see the at least the drives (c, d…). But with Win11 nothing, no drives no PXE-Client!!

I opened Wireshark and saw the BOOTP-Frames from the router arriving at the NIC. But nothing appeared in netinstall.

I see nothing regarding Windows 11 on the netinstall page: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall
Was this a problem with my Win11-Laptop or is this a general problem? If general, every tech should consider to have at least one Win10 device in case a netinstall has to be performed.

I was then connecting the router with a Win10 device, everything worked as expected:

But with Win11 nothing, no drives no PXE-Client!!

This does not indicate a problem nor a compatibility issue…

Did you actually try to netinstall a device and you couldn’t ?

Anyway try with windows firewall completely disabled.

Regards.

Also you can disable all the network adapters except the ethernet one that the device is connected to…
