I have searched the forums and tried the suggestions but nothing is working for me. I have a RB411AH that I am trying to put routeros back on. It currently has openwrt BB on it. I have downloaded netinstall and routeros-mipsbe-6.42.7.npk. I gave my computer a static ip of 192.168.1.2, I disabled my windows firewall, I use windows defender as my AV, so I turned off real time scanning, I put routeros-mipsbe-6.42.7.npk into the netinstall folder, I ran netinstall with administrator privileges but the router doesn’t show up in netinstall. The router has routerboot booter 3.41 installed and is set to boot from boot from ethernet using dhcp. I have the router and the computer plugged into a switch with nothing else plugged into it. I tried holding down the reset button while powered off and then plugged in. It switched to the backup booter 3.10.
All of my computers are windows 10 1709 or 1803. I am using netinstall 6.42.7. What am I doing wrong?
