I had a spare RouterBoard (I believe a RB150) that I wanted to upgrade before putting it on my test bench as an endpoint device. I used Netinstall to try the upgrade path from 2.x (I didn't record the installed version number) -> 3.3 -> 4.6. The first run of Netinstall formatted and then failed when installing 3.3. Now I've got a brick and am unable to install any version.
I started with mipsle from the torrent file, then tried all packages and then combined packages from multiple download sites. I've tried two sites in the US, Latvia, China and Australia.
Are there older pieces of hardware that are incompatible with the new releases? Can I get an older release to enable this again or is it a lost cause?
I've seen multiple posts about broken packages at the beginning of the year, but this was reported fixed.
