I can’t get netinstall to detect the hap-lite. I’ve followed the procedure (press reset button for 15 seconds while device is booting, wait for ACT led to turn off) but nothing happens.
btw (currently on 6.30), tried with netinstall 6.0 and 6.30
Are you using correct interface of rb and static ip settings on the pc?
Don’t go below the version that the rb was shipped with. 6.0 is definitely too old to be able to support smips.
set my pc to 192.168.88.10 and the PXE IP to 192.168.88.1 and have the RB connected to port 1 but still nothing.
I agree. Same problem. I tried netinstall 6.29.1 and when I click “Browse” to select a package, Netinstall freezes. If I try 6.30, nothing happens.

The problems you all describe are different.
“Netinstall freezes when clicking install” - do you have other routers that work with the same steps on same Windows PC? Have you disabled Firewall, Antivirus, tried another PC?
“Netinstall doesn’t even see the hAP lite” - are you plugging the PC directly into Ether1 (first port) on the hAP lite? Did you correctly push the Reset button before applying power to the router, and keep the button Pressed until hAP lite shos up in Netinstall ?

I haven’t experienced netinstall freezing on me.
Yes I press the button before connecting the power but let it it go as soon as the led turns off. let me try it the way you say
Edit: So that worked. I was letting the button go as soon as the led turned off, didn’t wait longer.
My first ethernet port was broke, it’s possible to netinstall my hap lite ?
No. Only the port 1 is able to perform netinstall.
