Hey, I recently tried to turn up my 2.4GHz configuration on my NetMetal 5’s and i think i’m degrading my 5GHz users.
First, I would like to verify that I’ve hooked up my dual frequency antenna’s correctly (IT Elite 2.4/5 antenna).
On-board 5GHz - Chain 0 connected to the horizontal 5GHz port on antenna
On-board 5GHz - Chain 1 connected to the vertical 5GHz port on antenna
PCI slot port 2.4GHz - Aux 0 connected to the horizontal 2.4GHz port on antenna
PCI slot port 2.4GHz - Aux 1 connected to the vertical 2.4GHz port on antenna
From a software perspective:
When i look at the 2.4Ghz Wireless interface on the HT Tab, what should i select for TX/RX chain 0/1?
What about the 5Ghz Wireless interface?
Are these chains on the HT tab(s) tied to the physical Chain and Aux connectors?
Let’s take this one step further. what should the HT Chain settings be for a 5GHz SXT CPE? check all 4 boxes? what about a 2.4GHz SXT.
