Netmetal AC Field Deployment - 230Mbps FD!!!

Hi Guys.

I’m here to post some nice achievement we got last week when we deploy our new Netmetal AC in a 46KM link that was on N with 2 RB953GS-5HnT-RP.

The package we use was the Wireless-Cm2 and the version is the 6.33 RC3.

I know that P2MP is not having the best time here but in P2P i have to say that i was impressed with the results

We got 230Mbps FD, but we use the link more for download than upstream so here’s a screen with the link in production + a Btest (the traffics are 100Mb/20Mb of real TCP traffic and the rest is UDP)

Hi Ginsu, can you share more about the config of the PTP? you say 802.11n, why not in 802.11ac? are using NV2 or Nstreme? bridge-to-Station-bridge? please share all possible…

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alessio, maybe i expresed my self wrong, my english isn’t very good. The old link was in N with two RB953GS-5HnT-RP that we replaced with the Netmetal.

As you can see in the image in the first post, we are in AC, the rates are 650Mbps TX/RX almost all the time.

The link is using NV2 and 4ms in TDMA, the config is bridge in one side and station in the other because our backhaul network is entirely routed with OSPF.

The antennas are both Ubiquiti Rocket Dish 34Dbi gain, any other information you want feel free to ask

Regards

tx power used???

Hi Chechito. The tx power is the default

Oh my god, 60dB EIRP = 1kW  Well maybe not on 80MHz channel… anyway awesome link! Where are you located?

Argentina

460mbps is not impressive. It mostly udp traffic. 400mbps TCP from ubnt products, is impressive.

46Km with that throughput is impressive, Ubiquiti and his 400mbps TCP in 4km links are useless, in those distances i use optic fiber.

Its impressive because he did it on the cheap, but an airfiber5x can do those speeds
