Hi everybody
i ve installed a link of 7km distance with the following setting:
/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=5ghz-a/n/ac channel-width=20/40/80mhz-Ceee
default-authentication=no default-forwarding=no disabled=no frequency=5315
frequency-mode=superchannel mode=ap-bridge nv2-cell-radius=10 radio-name=
Alloli rx-chains=0,1,2 scan-list=5000-6100 ssid=***** tx-chains=
0,1,2 wds-default-bridge=bridge1 wds-mode=dynamic wireless-protocol=nv2
sometimes in the registration table i got a rate of 780Mbps but when i do bandwidth test best i got is 200Mbps
where is the problem ??
7km is not short distance
Try disable nv2 and use 802.11.
What type antena do you have? What signal, ccq and others?
780Mbit is only datarate, it say nothing about real speed
Also I think the band you’ve chosen is uni-2, which in the regulatory domain of United States limits you to 220 mW. Try setting to 5.7 GHz uni-3 band, which is allowed at full 1W. May not apply to your locale, but worth a shot. Some netmetal 5 radios can even support greater powers, 1.3W I think, depending on locale and antenna.
i installed the same link with distance of 20Km and the result was much better (about 400Mbps)
i m using 34db ubnt anntena
signal -35/35 dBm
CCQ 60/70 %
I tried to use 802.11 and the result was much worse
