NetMetal5 to NetMetal AC² problem

Hi,

We have been using a pair of NetMetal5 for some time in a 4Km ptp connection capable of provide a troughput of 310Mbps with a RB4011 and a CCR2116 executing the Bandwidth Test.

Then, looking for new solutions we bought a pair of NetMetal AC², imagining that the new hardware would provide even better results.

We replaced in both sides of the ptp the old NetMetal5 for the new AC², with the exactly same antennas and configuration(Frequency, channel, dBi, etc).

We manage to improve little bit of CCQ and alignment also, but the troughput dont reach more than 120mb and the latency get pretty messy during the BWT.

Did we missed something? Any one has experience with NetMetal5 to NetMetal AC² upgrade?

Both devices are using v6.49.10

You have to use Wave2 drivers on those AC2s.

Ah, yes, because they work so well for PtPs.

We can’t upload wifi-qcom or wifiwave2.npk packages into the device, cause there’s no free disk space (NetMetal AC² has a total of 16mb and the running firmware and wireless package already uses 14.3mb)
I just notice that AC² webpage is now classified as “Discontinued”, when did this happen?

Update the device via the test branch to 7.12.1, then update the Stable branch to 7.14.1.
NetMetal AC² is an old device.
The new device is a NetBox 5 ax

My NetMetal ac² (RBD23UGS-5HPacD2HnD) initially worked very poorly (from kb-7Mbps) with DISC Lite 5ac (RBDiscG-5acD), but worked well with SXT 5 antennas (which were not ac).

I upgraded to version 7.xx, but then the wlan interfaces disappeared, which I retrieved and installed from Extra package (package wireless-7.16-arm.npk). After that, wireless transmission with DISC Lite 5ac remained outstanding for MT and NV2 (1xx Mbps tcp).
But after a short while, the speed problem repeats again.
NetMetal ac² also gives me Error on upgrade so I do them manually.
