netPower 15FR, powering it up

I put my hands on netPower 15FR for first time and trying to figure out how it can be deployed.
In my lab I am using Hex PoE, CRS112-8P, hAP AC2 and netPoer 15FR.

  • My first test was powering from CRS112 in one of the receiving 15 interfaces and then connect hex poe and hap ac2. The hex poe was connected to ether2 (poe out).
Disconnected the cable from CRS112 the netpower was still on, connections were up and running.

  • Second test was power the netpower from hex poe with hap ac2 still connected. The netpower did not power up, only after disconnecting the hap ac2 it did power up and then connections were up and running connecting again hap ac2 and crs112.

  • Third test, I changed the settings on hex poe on ether2 for poe out to forced instead of auto. Now the netpower does power up even with hap ac2 connected.

I was expecting the netpower to be powered up without the need to change options on the poe output of the connected devices, it is important to leave the poe output to auto instead of forced so people can not fry other devices by mistake.
One side note, the CRS112-8P is powered up by two power supplies one at 24V and one at 48V. It detects that netPower prefers 48V so it does power up the netPower with 48V, while hex poe can only give out 24V.
Anyone else has tested it?
