netpower SwitchOS - fiber ring topology

Hi.

I’m planning to set twelve CSS610-1Gi-7R-2S+OUT devices, ideal for me will be creating fiber ring to keep network running while fiber cut/interruption.
I’s it possible? How should it be done properly? To be as much failure resistant as possible.

I’m plannng to use wireless (60GHz) link as uplink and serve internet access thru pppoe sesions.

You can do the ring. But make sure RSTP is enabled. And I suggest you to make bridge priority on CSS, connected to uplink, lower than the rest of devices (e.g. to (0x)4000) so that it wins root bridge selection … selection about which segment of your fiber ring will be disabled will be made relative to the root bridge and since most of traffic will go out via uplink connected to one of CSSes, it’s preferable that the ring is “broken” on the other side.
