Network Conectivity issues

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone has an idea on this problem not sure if its Mikrotik or Vmware issue.

network Layout

host (Server 2008 PDC) static ip 10.0.0.70 GW:10.0.0.2--------
host (Server 2008 Exchange) static ip 10.0.0.71 GW:10.0.0.2---- ESX5 Host Vswitch nic0–Ether2 -10.0.0.2-RB800 -----Ether1-- DSL–Internet
linux server static ip 10.0.0.73 GW:10.0.0.2----------------- |
10.5.50.0/24 Ether3 Public Hotspot

From my exchange server 10.0.0.71 i cannot ping 10.0.0.2 (Gateway) but i can ping all other devices in the sames sub-net and they can ping me. Form the Mikrotik console i cannot ping the exchange server 10.0.0.71. if i enable dhcp on the exchange server i got an ip of 10.0.0.5 and i can talk to the router and the internet. In the Mikrotik console i set the ip as static and changed it to 10.0.0.71, went to the exchange server and repaired the connection it receved the ip 10.0.0.71 and i still have the same connectivity issues. seems so simple yet not.

Please post “/ip address” and “/ip route” for starters. Maybe post “/ip firewall nat” also.

How is this supposed to work?

Isn’t 10.0.0.71 part of the 10.0.0.0/24 subnet?
