I hope someone can help me, my quarantine IT project isn’t going to plan, despite hours of trying, though I’m not actually sure if what I want to be done can be done…
I have a Mikrotik R11e-LTE box, which I am wanting to use as an access point on my boat. I have an Alcatel Link 4 dongle which serves as our main source of incoming data. What I’d like to do, if possible, is have the Mikrotik pick up the signal from the Link4, and then rebroadcast this wirelessly, but under a different SSID, and via the ethernet port.
I’ve managed to get it working as a straight repeater using the quick set options, though only through the ethernet port, I can’t figure out how to make the Mikrotik access the Link4 as a client, then rebroadcast that signal under its own SSID as well as via the ethernet port.
Please help.
