Maybe an study about traffic distribution/patterns? i.e. which % of traffic is https, which http, which VPNs, email related (SMTP/IMAP/POP)…

I dont think VPN on TV streaming is possible. Until, the TV it self has the possibility of making any type of VPN connection (PPTP, SSTP, L2TP OR OVPN).
can you talk about basic routing like Policy Routing. suppose take RIP and its versions

I don’t know the kind of report you have to do; but if you’re getting trained at a NOC ot ISP, a possible interesting study would be analyzing traffic patterns: kind of traffic (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, IMAP, VPNs, RDC, etc) on a given time, e.g. 50% of total traffic is HTTPS, 20% HTTP, how much traffic is due to attacks and DDoS, how much is due to scans, how much is IPv4, or IPv6, etc…
TV Streaming isn’t usually provided through a VPN, but by using tunnelling/VLAN and multicasting , etc could also be a trending work, it depends on your capabilities, if you feel confident, go ahead, there’s nothing better than self-motivation to produce great results.
