Congratulations, you just saved $2 or less in BOM cost. Plain stupid.
I think the idea is to use these as a last-mile solution where 8 such 100 Mbps clients connect to a single AP that has 1Gbps.
This provides “automatic shaping” i.e. you won’t have to worry about queues.
But of course the product would be more flexible when it offered 1Gbps network!
It would be great to have an ap that arrived 3-4 km in 60 ghz
That would be bad news, as it meant that the oxigen level in the earth atmosphere was decreasing…
