I just finished playing around with a new 750gl routerboard that I got for my house and have ran into an issue that’s preventing me from being able to use the device. Shortly after establishing a stable PPPoE connecting the latency to my DSL gateway skyrockets (~1000-1500ms delay). I remain connected and can browse normally - but obviously not in a usable fashion.
So far I’ve tried a couple of different things which I’ll list below:
-Installed the latest RouterOS (6.24)
-Reconfigured the device from scratch
- Added two “forward” rules in the firewall for src and dst addresses to my LAN (which was a recommendation I found on the forums).
- Removed all rules from the firewall and re-created two general accept input/output rules for the entire LAN.
- Adjusted the MTU settings to 1492 (and several other variations)
I’ve since switched back to a pfsense virtual machine and everything is working normally - so I know the issue is within the 750gl. I’m new to routerOS and am a little lost on where to look from here - any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
