I have a new Audience that isn’t playing nicely with my comcast arris modem. With my old Asus rt660 WAP/router, I can go in the web ui and punch “renew dhcp” all day long and stay connected to my cable modem. Ditto an older asus WAP/router with ddwrt, so the comcast modem is handing out addresses. But doing the easy setup through ios or running webconfig thru a browser I can’t get an address using “automatic” into my audience. So, no internet connectivity for users on the audience. dd-wrt was fun but I’m ready to move toward something made in this decade. What am I missing on the audience?
If you are able to connect to Audience at least the Wifi does work. Well done!
Better use webfig than iOS. in Webfig, use “quick set” and select “HOME AP”.
I would suggest you just reset the box again, and once connected afterwards you check if internet is working before doing any change.
Normally when you connect to ETH1 a router or GW it should work out of the box.
Just make sure you don;t press the reset button too long . Audience can also be paired with other units, and then will not do the normal AP mode.
Check the brochure for correct procedure.
