Hello,
Are there plans to release cAP/mAP lite ax (2,4GHz) or cAP ax (2,4/5GHz) please?
This but with ax.

Cap AX:
And what’s wrong with this ?

Too big perhaps ?
mAP lite ax:
nothing in the works as far as known but Mikrotik usually does not release any roadmaps on what they are working on.
Smallest you can get in AX line is AX Lite (but that’s about the same size as Hap/AC2/AX2) and personally I don’t like the enclosure with the angled feet.
AX2 CAN be mounted on wall/ceiling though …
Smaller packages will most likely not come out for AP, AX chip set is known to pose quite some thermal restrictions on the package.
You could also consider L11UG-5HaxD, only 5GHz AX.
But then you still need an enclosure and antenna.
Hallo, thanks you for answer.
This model “cAP ax” is similar to the “cAp XL ac” in terms of size, gain and price. I need something small, little cheaper and it doesn’t have to have such a gain performance. Something that will be at the ceiling or wall only as an AP (not router/switch with next 4x rj45). Just something lik size old dual cAP or U6Pro and then ceiling cap lite for example for small box, small place. The combination ac/ax capsman is not ideal.
All smart device, and swart switche working on 2,4GHz, own building with 5GHz is therefore unusable. Other devices are hidden “box” and there is no signal or much space.
Thank you

@OP, why not just use cAP ac then ? I doubt smart devices will benefit wifi6
Because the router is a hap ax2 or ax3 with capsman old and new and then I lose wifi ap on this router.
No, you’re not.
Cap AC can run wave2 drivers just fine since 7.13.
It actually makes that device (as an AP) a LOT better (but don’t do anything else with it, limited storage etc etc).
Ye I know, but when I use package “wireless” for capsman ac and ax, then package “wifi-qcom” is disabled and I can’t use local wifi on hax2/3. Still new device is too big.
Wrong procedure.
On AX2/3 you don’t have to do anything so remove wireless there. Leave wifi-qcom.
On cap ac you need to remove package wireless and install wifi-qcom**-ac**.
Then everything is wave2 capsman.
Smaller then cap ac you’re not going to find with wave2.
Or stay with legacy wireless (cap mini) and use separate controller for legacy capsman (one of those mini’s can also do that !!)
Oh Got. So I didn’t think of this option. I’m convinced that when I set it up, it wasn’t like this in the manual yet. I’m looking, that page was added on 12/20/2023. I’ll try it, this could be the solution to my problem, but MIPSBE isnt compatible. Thank you for your help and patience, I appreciate it.
