It would be nice to be able to chat with other admins. who are connected.
Or at least send messages to all admins.

yeah, simple BitchX would do it. International calls are pretty expensive today.
We have been thinking about adding this for years – but it is just low on the list. You can change the system identity and and other CLI users will see that with the promt.
I will put this feature higher on the list.

For a very long time it could be done with “:log” console command writing logs to the facility with local-echo enabled. Like that:
:log facility=System-Echo message=“hi!”
v2.9 next beta will have a simple CLI chat command – later we will make Winbox support.
