New Features in 2.9.11

Can someone please explain this? (What’s trial user support?)
*) added complementary Hotspot feature (trial user support);

How do we use this?
*) added priority and min-rate fields in rate-limit attribute for
Hotspot, PPP and DHCP;

Thanks a lot.

Another Q:
*) updated RTL8169 driver;
Is it working now? :slight_smile: (VLAN tested?)

*) added ability to enable & disable installed packages;
GREAT ! Now we can use Wireless and Wireless-test and switch between them with one reboot ?
*) test packages included in big upgrade package - each requires enabling to use;
This answers my Q :slight_smile:

P.S. How often is ROS Documentation refreshed ?
Document revision: 3.2 (December 27 2005) ← Okey I found the A alone :slight_smile:. I must SEARCH before ASK :slight_smile:

What’s new in 2.9.11:

*) added hotspot active users list to snmp;

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This addition is greatly appreciated! :sunglasses: One less script we have to run now.

I’d like to add a request for additional SNMP features for a future release: firewall connection count, dhcp lease count, and ip neighbor count. Keep up the good work!

After experimenting:

64k/64k 256k/256k 128k/128k 10/10 6 32k/32k - rx/tx-max-limit=64000, rx/tx-burst-rate=256000, rx/tx-burst-threshold=128000, rx/tx-burst-time=10s priority=6 rx/tx-limit-at=32000

Hope I’m right!

*) added complementary Hotspot feature (trial user support);

if you enable this thing, it will allow hotspot users to try hotspot without entering login and password. more on this in the MUM

Thanks. I see it now!

and what about updated RTL8169 driver? in documentation i found this:
Chipset type: RealTek RTL8169 PCI 10/100/1000Base

Compatibility:
RealTek RTL8169 Gigabit Ethernet (not recommended: may lock up the router)

documentation is not updated yet

added hotspot active users list to snmp;

What is the base mib for this? I’ve done a snmpwalk on my hotspot (it only has one user logged in) and it doesn’t show up

Could someone explain how to use this feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg
