New installed RB450G with VDSL 50/10MBit no traffic possible

Hi @all
My running System:
Cable Modem----(DHCP Client)Mikrotik5.6X86----Network
Everything is working fine, with traffic filter, vpn, etc…

My problem, new Setup:
VDSL Modem----Mikrotik RB450G 5.7----Network

VDSL Modem is synchronised, with the original router the connection is ok and working (Easybox)
(The VDSL is an Germany Vodafone VDSL 50/10Mbit connection)

The VDSL Modem is connected to teh RB via ethernetport 5
The Homenetwork ist connected at ethernetport 1

At Port 5 i setup VLAN1 with TagID 132 (this is right, i take these setting from the original router…)
The PPPOE Client is working over VLAN1 and get a IP Address from the provider

To here i think everything is setup fine!

My problem now is the RB cannot be pinged from the Internet AND it is not possible to ping to the Internet (ie. google.de → 209.85.148.105) from the network and also direct from the RB!

Now i take back all settings, only a NAT for teh network is set…
(At the screenshot you´ll see the settings)

Someone can help me??
No traffic is passing from network to tnternet and from tnternet to network (no ping working etc.)

Try it without vlan for troubleshooting purposes, to see if it works that way.

Hi jandafields.
I tried to connect the pppoe client without vlan, the connection cannot be established… (dialing-disconnected-dialing-disconnected) no answer!
I think VDSL has always to be connected over vlan…?!

I take back the settings (to connect over vlan) an the connection is back!

In the picture youll see the original router settings:

Did you ever get this to work? How did you setup your pppoe client?

the example screenshot from the vodafone unit seems like it could be a QinQ tagging on the VDSL router.

Once the PPPoE is established you could torch the interface and see if it is getting frames with another VLAN ID maybe ?
