Hi all,
I have been using and supplying customers with SXT LTE 4G kits with good results but there are still some areas whenre a signal doens’t reach. Have seen these new units become available and have customers that would be really interested if they deliver the range. Has anyone got any feedback on range and quality of connection once deployed?
Have had one on test for a couple of weeks. As I move about from client to client I’ve been doing some very barbaric speedtest.net results and comparing.
The long and short of my findings was give up if you plan on using O2 network.
Thanks for your reply, have you found the new equipment gives greater range or is it about the same?. You might be better on EE as they use the 1800Mhz band where I can get clients pulling down up to 85Mb. O2 only work on the 800Mhz channel which I’ve found Ok but speeds rarely go above 35-40Mb.
I’d kill for that! My max so far has been 10Mb even when no more than 3 Km from the towers! I am lucky enough to have 2 in my local vacinity and I struggle to get above that. Supposedly band 20 O2 only uses a 10Mhz width so pushing anything over 20Mb is going to be difficult unless it’s a 4G+ area.
Hi Steve,
Bit puzzled as to why you can only pull 10mb. I had a customer who has an external Omni-directional aerial and a TP 4G link router who is getting over 30Mb and she lives just under 3 miles from the mast and it doesn’t have a clear line of sight either. I tested the same sight with a SXT LTE and got nearer 45Mb but customer happy with cheaper set up.
How have you configured your SXT LTE??, have you switched off the 2G/3G so it only looks for 4G?. Where are you located?
PM me if you don’t want to post it on the forum publicly.
According to MikroTik product description RBLHGR&R11e-4G is a new product That code covers the LHG LTE kit and the LHG 4G Kit which I only saw for the first time a week ago.
