Okay, I’m going to admit, I’m not sure which version we are using at this time. We are only using this as a free wifi radio, so all I need it to do is be a basic AP. I logged into the device, and just did the quick set up. I changed it to AP, set to bridge, gave it IP, and basic config. I then try to connect to the AP, via my Iphone, laptop, and other non-iphone smartphone. It will not allow any device to associate to it. We can see the broadcasted SSID, but that’s it. Any thoughts on why it won’t allow anything to attach to it? We did read that it was too strong and that we may need to back out. We tried that as well, with no success. thoughts?
execute this command and provide us with that print out:
/interface wireless export compact
Do you see the AP from your phone or other wireless devices?
Do you see some log entries in the router when you try to connect?
I’ll have to go back out to the site to turn it back on and get the print out. I’ll head out there here in a few minutes.
Yes, we see the AP with our wireless devices, but no I never saw anything in the logs that show it trying to connect. Although, I’m not sure it is logging any of that information.
I’m about to head out there. It will take me about an hour or so to get there, and I’ll check back here when I get there, and also try and get that print out posted as well.
Here is the print out of the command.
/interface wireless export compact

Well…Forget it. If it was big enough I’d call it a boat anchor at this point. Now, it’s just dead! I can’t even touch it anymore, and when I say touch it, my wireshark doesn’t even capture a single packet when I power cycle it. We can just forget this question for now. I’ve got to go rent another lift to get me to it. I do not plan on reusing it, and will change it out with a different brand.
what power supply are you using and what antenna you are using?
