New Mikrotik NAS cannot get authenticated

hi Guys,

Ive just configured a new RB433 to act as a NAS for DMA’s Radius Manager as authentication server.

All the setting in the NAS are perfect as Ive double checked it with my other NASes.

But it continously gives :
ERROR 691: Access was denied because the username/password was invalid

ON THE MIKROTIK ROUTER LOG it says:

PPPoe connection established from 00:21:XX:XX:XX
WAITING FOR CALL…
TERMINATING .. USER GEORGE AUTHENTICATION FAILED - RADIUS TIMEOUT

I know the user name and password is correct.
i can log in this username and password from other NASes.
I have already entered the details of my New NAS in the LIST NAS page of Radius Manager.

Any solutions are welcomed.

increase your radius timeout value in the mikrotik radius client to 3000ms. That should solve your problem.

Was at 2000ms …changed to 3000ms now.

in Radius Manager under add new NAS section be sure that the IP you put your NAS " Mikrotik IP " and the secret is same of the defaulte secret " testing123 "

in Mikrotik config:
1- Radius – add new — set the RM IP there and the same secret testing123
2- select what service you want like PPP , Hotspot
3- as your Mikrotik is PPP go to PPP — SECRET – in the authountication section mark on Radius

Hello sir, i have same issue. user created by dma radius manger but that use not connected as a ppp client. mikrotik log show authentication failed and timeout. ialready set radius time 3000. pls pls help me.
